Looks like the Yuku outage has been solved.  If you're still experiencing problems, try to clear your cookies/cache.  If it's still not working, try to restart.  If it's still not working, contact the Yuku help desk here.

At this hour, our engineers are still working on sorting out the server issues that resulted from an outage at Amazon web services.
Four servers are still being worked on. You may still experience intermittent white pages, timeouts and lagging issues while these servers are in the process of being fixed.
Two other servers are nearly done.
All other server are fully up and running now.
The server maintenance will continue until all communities and profiles are completely back and free of white pages, server errors and lags.
We again sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and discomfort this is causing across our network. Please rest assured that our engineers are doing what they can to fix the issues as quickly as possible.

Membership purge

Swaptawk staff are doing a routine sweep and purge. Criteria we look at includes but isn't limited to:

  • Length of time since last log in: ≥ 3 months will be deleted.
  • Amount of posts: If you're only posting once in a while or not at all, you may be deleted.
  • Whether or not you are a probationary member: Probies are routinely deleted once their immediate problem has been solved unless they request full membership AND meet the criteria. It is the member's responsibility to bring this to staff attention if they wish full membership.

Our goal is to create a safe, stable, and neutral environment in which to discuss swapping, swaplifting, and satisfactory resolutions for all. This includes everyone as a community getting involved and helping each other out. Lurkers aren't conducive to a safe environment, as some people feel hesitant in discussing details or feel the person they are having a problem with may be reading and not responding, or someone may be leaking details outside the forum (naughty.)

If you feel you have been deleted by mistake, and you qualify for membership per the criteria listed here in this blog, please drop us a line at swaptawkmail@gmail.com and state your case for re-approval.

SwapTawk is a membership only community.

SwapTawk is a membership only community.
In order to join SwapTawk you must fit the following membership criteria:
  • Be an active swapper with at least 20 recent (≤ 6 months), verifiable tokens from unique swappers.
  • Must have an active swaplist, wishlist and notepad
  • OR are having a confirmed problem swap.
You must complete all of the following steps in order to be considered for a membership on SwapTawk:
Step 1: (if you are already a Yuku member - skip this step)
~Join Yuku: http://www.yuku.com/signup/me/Step-1.html
Step 2:
(a)Please email SwapTawkMail@gmail.com (you MUST use the email address that is connected to your MUA account) listing both your Yuku name and your MUA name.
(b)If you are experiencing a problem swap, please give a very brief synopsis of the problem complete with name, MUA name, and address of the other party.
Step 3:
~Apply for membership at: http://swaptawk.yuku.com/ by clicking the "apply for membership" button at the bottom.


**If you do not follow these three easy steps, your application will be denied***
